He married Charity Lipps in Wilkes Co., NC, 7/23/1835. Charity was born in Wilkes Co., NC 12/29/1815. Charity was the daughter of John Lipps III and Martha Church. Charity died 9/29/1904 in Johnson Co., TN, at 88 years of age.
