Elmer died 3/13/1984 in Wilmington, DE, at 52 years of age. His body was interred 3/17/1984 in Oxford, PA, Oxford City Cemtery.

He married Stella Mae Woodard in Peach Bottom, PA, 6/16/1950. Stella was born in Mountain City, PA 92/1932. Stella is the daughter of Frederick Enoch Woodard and Emma Mae Howard.
